Talk about mom life getting real….I can’t believe it’s been nearly a year since my last post! To say time flies is an understatement. If you’re of the mindset that life will slow down when your kids are older and you’re a little older, well FORGET THAT! My life is busier now than ever before. Mom life does NOT slow down, not ever!
Mom life with little ones
When your kids are small life seems crazy and out of control, however that’s the time you have the MOST control. Problems happen, the kids are behaving badly, laundry is piling up, and you have no clue what you’re going to feed them for dinner. Guess what? Those issues can be solved in a short amount of time. Mom life gets harder as your kids get older because the issues are sooo much bigger. Problems you can’t solve with a cookie or ice cream. Problems that you can’t jump in and take over for them when they’re struggling. All you can do is give advice and pray. You pray a lot!
Enjoy life
Enjoy life with your kids when they’re young. It’s busy, but it’s fun. They love you and quickly forgive you when you screw up. Admit your mistakes, say you’re sorry and give love, lots of love. Don’t wish for this time to pass, because trust me it will. Have fun, make memories, and love them with your whole being. Let them know how important they are in your life.
The day will come when they’re grown and have families of their own. They will have struggles just like you and me. They want, they NEED, your support and the knowledge that you’re there for them regardless if you agree with them. Kids need to know that you’re always in their corner. Encourage them to pray. Share with them that you pray for them regularly. Prayer holds things together. It makes mom life a little easier. Prayer is going to the One who is always in our corner. He loves us and provides grace and guidance. My prayer is that you will enjoy the blessings He has given you and that you won’t rush through life but instead you will enjoy every precious moment. And if you need support from someone who’s been there I’m happy to help. Just contact me through my Mom Mentoring site or contact me here. 🙂
